Some very nice work, love the lacing and looming of the cables.
Hard to make out the colour in the loom, (my crappy monitor), is it a copper or more like a Khaki?
Thanks for the kind words!
It's more like Khaki than copper (the retailer labeled it as
tan). The original
plan was to use actual copper shielding for the wires (the kind used for audio
cables), but for one thing that stuff is very expensive, secondly it's a lot trickier
to work with than paracord and thirdly I could not find any in the correct diameter,
so I scrapped that idea.
The difference between the paracord and actual copper will probably be clearer
once I take some proper pics with actual copper parts inside and you can see them
right next to each other.
Despite it being not really copper I still think it matches fairly well into the overall
colour scheme and I'm quite happy with it (I better be, replacing it would be a
hilariously masochistic undertaking

).
Also, I picked a crap time to finally get the Copper and Mate Black themed build out of my system.
Well, it's not exactly like I invented the concept, PrometheusCU was amazing
people when I was still in diapers (well, not quite, but you get my point).
Nothing like starting out and seeing the simply amazing work someone like you is producing a few posts away.
Again, thanks for the compliments.

I gotta say, NZXSPC ain't exactly something
to sneeze at either, I'm still seriously itching to properly colour-coordinate my M/B
as you did, that paint job you did on yours really impressed me. What's prevented
me from doing it so far is that I'm not entirely sure I could afford to replace the SR-2
if I corked things up.
But who knows, maybe at some point the itch will just grow too strong. I definitely
don't like how the SR-2's PCI-E and RAM slots look, they're not a very nice shade
of red (more salmon/pink-ish, as Tom said about the SR-X's slots in his review of
that board), and even if they were they still wouldn't fit the colour scheme.
First world problems, eh?
Made a note in my Project diary, simply said "Bugger"
Oh, I'm confident your project will not disappoint (and not because expectations are
low, quite the opposite

).
I'm definitely happy to get more company in the copper/black club. See you around.
