Iam gonna do some changes in the build but iam waiting for parts (More storage :D) . I will update my progress in the log.

.... unless I had SSDs laying around the place, I wouldn't use them on a freeNas fileserver. A usb stick >4g is enough to get it into memory. Cheaper and less power again !

Liking the videos.

Link aggregation in full effect :D I wish I could do something similar but those switches are kinda out of my budget atm.

What raid level are you after, after the upgrades?

18TB bruto space and 12 TB netto space + 2x500gb mirror boot. The 3TB seagate disks are on the IBM M1015 controller. There is a 128gb samsung ssd in the 5.25 drive bays as L2arc zfs cache

Yeah i also love the Fractal Design Arc Midi!!! Very awesome case. Nice cooling and cable routing and the price is good and made for lots of harddrives.

Part3 is online now! :)

I did some hardware changes so now i have 6x 3tb in raidz2 and 2x 500gb mirror for boot and torrent. I also put in a IBM M1015 for more sata channels.

The OS is back to ZFSguru. I love the disk management system. And the speeds are great 110+ over nfs and 100+ over samba!

Also i measured the idle power consumption of every single part. So there is a nice overview in power consumption.

I made some benchmarks and show my UPS

looking good! i like the look of a bunch of drives together in various setups.

i also love tidy routing of a bunch of wires that at the same and your sata cable routing if very nice here.

also just curious what keyboard is that shown in the video i believe i see a Compaq logo on it?

Compaq RT101 My first choice in keyboards. No windows keys just 101keys! Works perfect on my workstation. I have 3 of them. Only them one in the video has a bad Ctrl key which only reacts if your press real hard :( I just have to find a new one for 2 euro on a garage sale!

Iam also pretty happy with the cable management of the fractal design arc midi :)
