Well.... perhaps the most damning thing is that youtube themselves had to disable comments on their announcement vid....

Is this not enough of a tell that anonymity and perceived power are a terrible mix?

Aside from that and the flag bombing of the "hurt on other people's behalf" crowd, i'm simply counting the days until the first "hero x was paid to mass flag videos of youtuber y by butthurt youtuber z" scandal.

Twitch is in a position to do something about it. They have the infrastructure to do it. If YT keeps this up, I can see them taking advantage

All twitch have to do is stop people from uploading to YouTube from their platform and index the content themselves instead of deleting it. They would take an absolutely massive chunk of market share out of YT overnight... I wonder if that's the plan.. that would be cool.

Paid Twitch streamers already have to keep their content unique to Twitch for at least 24 hours in order to uphold their contract.
