Your Favorite Case?

On these forums, many people ask for case recommendations for their build. I thought it would be nice to have a thread where everybody posted what their favorite PC case is, and why they think so. Here are the questions you should answer:

  • Case Brand
  • Case Model
  • What are the main features?
  • Why did you choose it?

I used to like the phantom 820 but after this beast came in, i changed my mind :D

LOTS of space i could possibly build the most extreme build!

I had a fractal arc before, great case, plenty of space and awesome air flow.
Recently picked up the Corsair carbide 540. It's huge, offers fantastic air flow, cable management etc.

For sheer impracticality and beautiful looks, I'd say the Inwin H frame.
In terms of cases I've actually worked with, my fave case is probably the cosmos II as well because of the looks, the ease of cable management and good airflow with minimum noise.(Some day I'll get one...).
Honorable mentions to the Fractal define R4 (minimal but really quiet), the corsair 350D (dat window, hnng) and the Zalman Z11+ (I like the look of it for some reason).

I just said out loud "What the *bleep* is that?" thats certainly different!

I like it :D Its been around for a few years now. It's got a sort of futuristic/modern contemporary look to it.

It's not something you would make a gaming rig with, but it would be good for something like a small office PC, low power HTPC or even a Steambox. :)

Favourite case has to be the CM Storm Stryker it's just beautiful what's not to like about this case, although the H440 is a close second.

How cool would it be to see one those modded to a full Watercooled setup? i smell a challenge guys :D

That would be awesome if possible :D

The only thing with the case is it's basically an open case, so it's going to be extremely noisy with any highend air cooled hardware in there. If it could be watercooled it would cut down on the noise coming from it and that would be awesome.

true, i think it might be possible by adding an extra plate that could serve for holding a rad. To bad its a pretty expensive case otherwise i would've tried

If this case was updated for use with watercooling I'd buy one instantly.

Cant stand cases that look like megatron making out with a satellite.
