Xonar Essence STX & Riser PCI-E 1x extender adapter?Any problems?

I plan on buying the aforementioned. I don't have horizontal clearance for the STX and hence the extender.

Will there be any problems if I use Essence STX with 1x-1x riser adapter? Latency issues, Sound quality issues etc? This question is primarily directed towards Essence STX and PCI-E 1x riser card adapter owners and those who have had experience with other sound cards in a similar setup. I would really REALLY appreciate it if you could test them together to see if they work fine.

ASUS has been Extremely Unhelpful in this matter. They have not replied to any of my tweets. I can't contact ASUS directly on their website because they force us to enter serial number(I have no ASUS products) before contacting them. Can't contact them on youtube because of Google+.

I run my asus dgx in a 1x riser slot (so my gpu had more space) and it works perfectly fine, I never notice any latency using it. best way to see if it affects you is to try it

15cm I think. Just used it to go froma 1x slot above my gpu to the single upright pci slot.
