Xigmatek Elysium Workstation Build

Dude can you give me the exact model of the 200mm and 120mm fans you have used please - looking at your pics again - I've just gotta get some.

you need to change your RAM timings in your BIOS. mobos usually read RAM (no matter the clock you bought it at) at 1333Mhz. go into your BIOS and change the timings. for my RAM it was 9-10-9-28. idk if this is uniform across all RAM or not, but thats what mine is at. hope this helps

nice lookin case also! love the fans!

You are correct I was not aware that would be the case. I appreciate you enlightening me. Without the good information and advice from all of the generous people posting on this forum I'd probably never have considered attempting this build. Thanks a lot I have learned a great deal from all of you guys!

How's the V5900 going for you?

Temps?

Performance?

As for the Graphics Card, I have had no complaints so far. Honestly though I am still waiting for my 2TB drive to show before I really get in and start putting some 3D CAD work to it (that will hopefully arrive by the end of the week).

I look forward to seeing how well it can handle some regenerating large assemblies and perhaps getting some "photo real" renderings out of some of the Inventor and SolidWorks stuff I'd like to run on it.

It has been incredibly fast and reliable with the Adobe CS5.5 software, that I have tossed at it so far (AI, PS, and a little toying in premier) but I can also attribute a lot of the speed to the 250GB SSD and 32GB RAM as well. I have not had any issues with screen flutter and all the moving and toying so far has been crisp and smooth regenerating. Im rather impressed and am half considering an dual SLI set up with (2) in the future to see how well that turns out as well.

I'll try and post some work if I can get the drive in and sit down to make up some interesting CAD drawings.

I have a Utgard, a cousin to the Elysium. Lovely cases.. lovely build

Thanks. I really like the look of the Utgard cases. I honestly wish a little that they would offer some of the orange accent stuff for the internal hardware for those interested in adding that to the Elysium cases. I think its a cool look and adds some style to what is normally a boring internal chasis.

Thanks for the compliments!

I guess technically being that its an AMD card, it would be "CrossFire" or even more technically "CrossFire PRO"

setup. Even still, all technical jargon aside, I would be looking max "dual card" set up. In my situation if that didn't do the trick, I should be considering a higher end card. Even still, I don't have much doubt that this card will perform it seems to have a pretty good track record from what I have researched.

I bought some of those fans partly based on how good they looked in this build. Don't regret is one bit, still keep looking at them and think they are awesome.

those fans really do look amazing, but i was thinking about it last night in bed, and i think if im going to go LEDs or any kind, i want to be able to turn them off. so as much as id love those fans, i would have to invest in other LED fans, or more likely cold cathodes or those BitFenix LED strips or something, so that i can turn off the lights at night.
