does xfx cover overclocking ? cause some ppl told me that if your card does every break or something happens to your card, you can send it to them during your 2year warranty and they'll send a new card.

is that correct or a lie ?

It is correct.

And if the card does die because of overclocking thay cannot tell.

So just keep your mouth shut when sending it back. ;)

Again if anything went while under water just attach the original air cooler and send it back. They will be none the wiser ;)

oh cool lol

but it does have to be in the 2year warranty that xfx distributes with every card right ? because i bought my card during the last july/august and i wanna get the new 8800gs that xfx has now lol

I am not sure where you are going with this..

Do you mean you want an upgrade?

I don't think XFX will give you a higher spec card if yours is broken. They will give you the same chip. ;)

well im still go to use the card i have right now

but since i did overclock my gpu, im not sure if its going to last long or not

and i think it depends

some1 told me that one time they used to have like a 7900 or 7800, and something went wrong with it, so the company sent a 8600gts to the person.

and maybe if i do convince them to give me another card because at tigerdirect the 8600gt fatality which has like lower specs then the 8600gts, cost more then the triple x edition. the fatality cost like 170 while the 8600gts cost like 112.

The card will live for ages... I wouldn't worry mate.

Alot of us on here keep our cards overclocked 24/7.. for years.

None moving computer hardware has the ability to out live a human.. so I wouldn't worry about it breaking. ;)

crap >,>

i really want to get rid of this card now but i don't want to go give the card to tigerdirect because there probably going to give me less money for the card.

and idk if any1 would wanna buy an overclocked card because they might think the card is broken lol

well ill try to find some1 how wants to buy it so i can buy a 8800gs or gt

Put it on eBay or something.. and don't say you overclocked it.

Average overclocking doesn't harm a thing.

As long as you software clocked it... if you flashed the bios then you might be in trouble. Unless you flash it back.

you just did software overclocking, so no worries.

flashing the bios is more permanent and can render your card useless if done incorrectly. Every different model card has its own bios (if it's similar to the motherboard then the bios is stored on a chip on the card). Flashing the bios means that you overwrite what's in the bios chip.
