XFX nVidia 680i LT or MSI P35 Neo2-FR?

Hi guys.. I have an offer from a forum member to do a trade for my motherboard..

My P35 Neo2-FR for the XFX 680i LT..

What do you guys think? Please justify your reasons.

I am planning to be getting a Quad in the future, and I will buy another 9600GT to put in SLi if I get this motherboard.

Thanks!

Stick with the P35. Quads and 680i is like cutting off both your legs and trying to run a marathon.

Even at stock settings mate? I am not planning to OC the Quad high at all.. 3GHz is plenty enough for any game to not be CPU limited.. even 2.4 is fine but 3GHz is what I am going to go for..

I hear people get 3GHz most of the time..

I will be with this E2140 for a long time to come, so Quads really aren't my concern at the moment to be honest.. if I wasn't going to be getting a Quad.. might just stick with this CPU... would you say I should do it then? I know the 680 chipset loves duals :)

From my experience even 3Ghz was a struggle. Needing something ridiculous like 1.65v for the 333fsb.

the 6 series nvidia boards are a little hit and miss especialy for overcloking (I speak from expereince) if your gonna go down the road of overclcoking quads with SLI i would only recommend what I'm using wich is the 790i from evga I have tried the striker II and it sucks went through 3 with code init failures got sick and went evga not saying it the best best overcloker going but it gets my qx9770 upto 4,1ghz satble and never causes me trouble.

Right.. I am not going to do it. Forget it :) Thanks any ways lads.

They're are a troublesum chipset, as I know from my friend who has a Striker 680 but it loves to OC Duals.. not Quads which is a bad thing for me.

I am going to stick with my motherboard, get a Quad and a higher end motherboard and be done with it. Then I will get a multi GPU set up when I get some cash for it :)
