hey all not to sure if this has already come up and ime aware the 4870 trades punches with the 260 but i just need the best bang4buck and my budget it £180

i game at 1920*1080 ive been using onboard for the past 4months and i hate it the mobo gets to hot and i get random slowdowns and its only been happning since i took out my 260 i had but that's another story.

so yer out of them to whitch is the best bang4buck in the £180 price bracket???

what do you mean by oos,ive always seen the 275 as the runt of the litter IMO as the 55nm 260 when OC'D can be as good as the 280 generic so ive never seen the point in the 275 but ive never read any revews on it ide like i 285 but they are still expensive, and the batman game is being thrown out left right and centre it must be that good lmao

no its cool i just like getting advice,i think at the current price points the 275 is the best option and ofcourse batman lmao,is the asus brand anygood??

I only got 1 ASUS graphic card - courtousy of OC3D ;)

(at some point I'll get my lazy arse into posting pics etc)

But I have tbh, the build quality alone is admirable. Even tho I haven't tested it - like I will I assure u ;)

well the price diff ime just gna put down to the brand name, like £18 or summet woop 275 tomoro then cheers mate

275 all the way as people say ati for folding/benchies nvidia for games sayin that ati are illegidly due to release 5xxx series cards very soon aren't they?

yer around christmas time,i think some one said on hear, ile pickup the asus 275 tomoro ile just check on hear at like 10am and see if anychanges

2 x 8800gtx in sli here :P

but have looked at the gtx 275's and for the price they seem very very reasonable. But i also looked at the 4890, let me know how you get on, got both amd and intel chipset boards here so will have to look into a new card.

Just to throw another option in here but the Sapphire Vapor-X 4890 is awesome, near silent cooler and very overclockable. Got mine to just shy of 1GHz. A little bit more expensive but it's worth it if you want to keep the noise down while squeezing a bit more speed out of your card.

cool thanks for the reply's,i still think ime gna get the asus 275 as i have a nforce board so if i ever wanted to SLI then i could just get another card furtherdown the line probly next month but i will keep you posted
