Xfx 7950

I would turn it to a pcie ssd holder, just cut a part of the pcb and cooler (where the cooler touches the gpu core) and if you can mount the gpu upside down so you can see the top of the cooler.

EDIT: also remove the copper pips

I liked the looks of it so much that I bought another xfx 7950, a working one this time and I must say I am disappointed in the cooler, my reference 6970 and 5970 were quieter and ran better temps. Both of those I could keep at around 62C at about 40% fan speed, the xfx 7950 does not want to go below 66 no matter what. I remember having the same problem with my old xfx 4890's, the fans were rubbish.

Yeah that generation of XFX cards were/are crap for cooling. Is this the single fan or double fan one? My single fan 7870 went to 80c on warm days :(. Its usually down to them not using enough thermal paste/ anything on the VRMs.

It's the dual fan one. I might try what I did with my 4890, I took a regular case fan, chopped off the frame and stuck it in, worked beautifully.
