Xbox 360 slimline review

I only got it because A) it was on sale $19.99

It was the game of the year edition which came with all the DLC's C) gives me something else to play with a few friends that are into those kinds of games and don't have black ops or reach.

Nice read, I am not a console type of guy but I think this is the problem with Xbox it dies off for most people, Whlist my friend has the PS3 since its release date back in 2006, and it works just fine, I am not hating I am just saying

I like the new wired headset, the old white one always looked so tacky and cheap...and felt it too. The black and the new design seems to make it look more techy and modern. As for the controller, it's a good thing it wasn't changed. The Xbox 360 controller will stay pretty much exactly the same as does the PlayStation controllers (yes, they added some features...but it's still the same old control as the PS2). I like the Xbox 360 controller - it feels nice in the hand; looks good and just feels better when playing than my PS3 controller does.

New OS is OK, but I miss the original. Good updates, etc.

I can confirm that the 4gb version has a matte finish where as the 250gb has a glossy finish

I am PS man when it comes to consoles but I now prefer the XBOX controllers.

I'd have to disagree on the heat of the slimline to the other ones the slimline produces so much heat, my brother had a penny next to it and after a while of gaming it would burn you when you touched it but it is way (and I mean way) much quieter than the older version of the xbox.

Just wanted to reiterate what others have said: avoid using the xbox vertically. I have had a game chewed up.

Additionally, have you had any issues with the fan or general cooling of the slimline 360?

the slimline when used vertically is silent, disks are silent, fans are silent, its brilliant, its 1000x better than the original, it does run rather hot...but its a fair trade.
