It looks like the unhackable has become the hacked!!! It's an unfortunate thing, but, the games developers and Microsoft are going to be feeling the pinch because of it. What are the repercussions going to be? Feel free to comment...

Its about time someone hacked the Xbox.

The game prices are stoopidly HIGH! I will not be playing £50 per a game its not worth it!

When I can get the same game on PC for half or even less!

Im glad someone has done it! :worship:

I'm not.

Hackin consoles means that the people who pay legally for their games get the prices higher.

I don't think £40 a game is too bad tbh

Agreed.

As someone who writes software for a living (and a little for fun), I know just how much hard work goes into creating apps and games.

It p's me off when customers dupe our s/w after we've spent ages developing it.

Try playing with Allegro or a net yaroze or something similar. It gives you a great appreciation of what the games writers do.

Price wise, people like Game try it on with their RRP figures but if you shop around, it's better tbh. I get my 360 games in store at Tescos; on average 37 squid.

Bring on Gears of War!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt you can play hacked 360 games online, so they don't get the full package.

I don't think ms is going to be too upset about it, seeing as they don't make any money on the games, only the consoles, and this is likely to boost console sales.

It's quite the contrary actually. Microsoft make a loss on the consoles and make money on the games and licensing thereof

I remember being able to go in to the local shop and picking up the latest game for £30. And that was considered expensive.

I gave up buying console games as they're PC counterparts were often £10-20 cheaper, and they are still £40.

yea pc games are so much better imo, graphically and gameplay (easy online, updates, patches etc.) but i spose u need to spend a bit for a decent pc. It all adds up though

Don`t believe that do u Kemp ? Games are more priced as "what can we get away with charging?".

I didn`t know the Xbox was deemed uncrackable tbh, saying that I didn`t know u necessarily needed a DL DVD.

It hasn't been that for a long while, The Specialist cracked it ages ago.

Yep, which I posted about in the news ages ago too. It all started with the games demo disk that was included with the console :)

AGREED

i have a mate that asked me if i wanted to get my XBOX360 chipped, i said no, i like the fact that i get a sence of achivement out of completing a game.

:wavey:

the only time i would ever chip a console it to use third party apps. like the xbox media centre. such a great application.
