A chap from Duleth who goes on the Gamespot forum has found the answer to the XBox crashes:

Get some string:

"goldeneyemaster" has shown that if you raise the PSU off of the ground a bit to give it some air this sorts out all of your gaming woes.

My 360 was crashing a lot (like once every 20 minutes). So I took the power supply off the ground and suspended it in the air with some string. I have been playing for about 3 hours straight and no crashes so far!

EDIT: I found an easier way to do this. I got a box with no cover and put the power supply on the edges.

XBox have now released a revision 1.1 manual which icludes the following changes:

"Remove Xbox and power supply from packaging. Place XBox power supply on top of empty XBox packaging."

ROFLMAO, yeah what a great selling point. Go and fork out a mint on a new console, and then have to improvise on keeping it cool just to play it....priceless  It kind of reminds me of the first Xbox console, where peeps who purchased between **** and ****, had the added bonus of potentially having their house burn down by a poorly designed power cord. :yumyum:

I think he meant are people liking it :p

I'd get one but there is a serious shortage here in the UK.

I'm going Q'ing up outside Toysrus on Friday morning. Sad I know but its the only place that did not allow pre-order so whatever they got allocated will be on the shelves on Friday morning (not for long though).

I can't believe people would want to buy something where you have to mod it to get it safe..

MS you fuckheads! Make sure your stuff works before you send it out (an ovious case of mismatch with SP2 :rollingla )

Well judging it on the games already out right now is a little harsh. Let the devs have a bit of time to get used to it and see what they can do.

When ya think about it: top-spec PC graphics on a £300 machine

Crazy, apparently someone somehow managed to get a Xbox 360 before release and sold it on ebay for $12k

I can imagine that.... People have been known to spend a lot more money on a lot more stupid things on eBay.

Like the gal that sold her soul for something like $1 million... wtf??? rofl

LMAO :D

who could forge tthe piece of pizza, with peperonni in the shape of the virgin mary

and some dude tried to sell the hollywood sign last week :D

Apparently some guy burst into GAME before it opened with a shotgun and made of with four XBox 360s

(He got arrested later though)

i agree with matt's statement

any "proper" gamer knows that release games never do the consoles any justice.(but then again ive heard some ravin reviews of 360 games so we will see)

i will probly get this over the ps3 as well because sony just lost me on that damn funky sob control pad lol(sony is stupid :p )

cheers.
