X570 Chipset Fan noise

Gigabyte has impressed the HECK out of me with this board. They implemented a silent mode for the chipset fan, but I found out it was NOT the chipset fan that was bugging me. Apparently one of my 3-pin Gentle Typhoons might be on the way out. That's the problem when you have 17 fans in a case and something makes a small annoying noise. I narrowed it down to one bank of fans on one of my 360 rads, so the chipset fan is innocent of all charges!

I think you need more fans. 17 is not enough^_^

Speaking of fans and GT's specifically. I had 6 and put them away as I got some Noctua's instead in a 140mm size, and recently I wanted to use them again and apparently they grew legs because I cannot find them ANYWHERE lol

I opened every box and drawer I have ever used for computer stuff and they just vanished

Yeah, cause you put them away in the garbage can ^_^

I am thinking having 3 x 120mm fans in the bottom with blow enough cool air over my NVmme drive and chipset to keep them cool

I have this board:

The 2nd BIOS released for the board added profiles and custom fan curves for the chipset fan. After living with it for a weekend, I think the chipset fan (at least on this board) is a total non-issue. I can't hear it over the rest of the fans. I think it's more there for the M.2 drive than the chipset itself.

I have the Aorus PCIe 4.0 1TB M.2 drive and the fan is actually a good thing to keep that thing cool because it does run quite hot.
