X2 or stick to 'normal'

Agreed there are too many issues and a question mark of the longterm stability of your motherboard when overclocked - I am gonna give 'em a miss until the next gen MOBO's are released, by which time a new revision of dual core will be available together with more applications that will benefit from this forward thinking technology.

I think it's unfortunate that the likes of AMD and Intel do not work more closely with developers to ensure that there is a decent spread of applications that are ready to take advantage of the technology - IMHO it's one fo the reasons why Hyperthreading failed to impress.

Its only going to be faster if you multitask a lot or if you are running apps that are coded for dual core cpus

& by the time those are common there will be a 4 gig or so dual core out..
