How the holy hell anyone puts up with that ridiculous noise is far beyond any of my understanding. Sweet Mary mother of god it's loud.

Arctic Cooling S1 to the rescue, now my ears have peace.

For some reason my review exploits missed that card out, but they're damn lucky it did...never buy one without factoring in 3rd Party cooling into the cost

Got a Zalman 900cu , had the S1 but I had one of the few first Pros and it has frickin caps all ova the place

Actually yes it was more of a whiney "small fan" noise. Not usually bothered but it was hurting my ears

Mine never spins up and it/when it does it's when I have my headphones on playing a game

Back when i had my X1900XTX it had a horrible cooler on it too. My best friend now has a 2900XT and he complains about the noise everyday. He says he dosent know which was worse, my old X1900XTX or his 2900XT.

the only problem is that the fan blades hit the sheath and make a rattling noise when it's up over 50% or so

Yeah, those acceleros are nice, and the stock cooler totally sucks. My friend ordered one but had to get it replaced because the heatsink was missing the VRMs and causing it to overheat and her pc to reboot after a few minutes of gaming. Sucks

I think the powercolor one comes prefitted with an AC cooler

Hm, my 1950 pro came with an arctic cooling cooler as standard

It was the powercolor model. Google it for some pics if u want.
