Doesn't work properly with X1K cards but for X8XX series cards its the most stressful thnig you'll ever do to your card.

Guys I just ran 3Dmark06 and it was working fine... it minimised said scanning system ( something ) .. and then screen went black and comp just stopped. Now even the red light of the Hdd's goes which wouldnt happen if it was my graphics card right?. Also erm 15-22 Fps with a X1900XT what the??! ( when all the guys where shooting in the 3Dmark06 test I mean ).

Definately sounds like a PSU mate. If more than just ur GFX card is acting wierd, sounds like the PSU is about to bite the dust. I'd start there and then if problems keep occuring we can once again re-evaluate.

thanks Fragtek ... tomorrow I should be gettin some stuff if it is my graphics card what am I better off with a BFG 7900 GTX or X1950XT?

Personal preference I guess... I'd go for the ATI... simply because of the video playback quality is way better then any nvidia cards ive seen (without tweaks such as ffdshow). having said that... nvidias purevideo is the dogs

Today is the day In a few hours time I will know what the problem has been all along... Im probably going to end up changing the Powersupply and the Graphics card.. and Maybe even re-installing XP... Just don't want these problems.

Ok guys, I got a new PSU an Enermax Liberty 600w Powersupply and 2 BFG 7900 GTX's .... all the games are working perfectly.. expept for one.. we tried EVERYTHING... the game just makes the comp freeze and or restart,( Note: only when game is at load screen or character selection it does this when/If the game runs it never stops ) NO other application or game does that, so First I will have to re-download the game 20gb... that will be done in a few hours.. if the same problem persists.. what am I do to?

Have you updated all your drivers?? have you searched the support forums of that particular game?

A bios flash is a bit OTT but give that a shot

I am currently Re-downloading the game to make sure that the files werent currupted or something. If it does the same thing still il get my motherboard checked.. is it possible for the network card in the mobo to shut down the comp?. Although normal Internet works perfect even on other games. So im guessing the game is messed up lets see what happens with new download.
