Look at what my naked 146 opteron is giving me on water. OCCT stable at 3.17ghz and still testing.

Who needs a prommie...

Well - it took me an hour and half to get the seal string off the old DFI - then I lost the screws off the CPU kit that hold back and front plates.

Then I found that I needed to dremmel some grooves in the cpu kit to miss some of the surface mounted stuff and an extra groove to allow CPU removal without remiving CPU kit.

Finally I got it in the case and realised I have to re-pipe the watercooling due to the new arrangement of the graphics cards PCI-E slots (extra spacing which I don't need lol).

The good news is I tested it and no hissing :)

I go and visit my lad today so probs be tonight when it's finally up and running.

Nice, add a peltier :D

What was the max temp your water got to?

A little OT but, does anyone else experience the water getting very hot with peltiers?

yeh, maybe add another rad? Good clocks, i got an extra 200mhz out of a prommy, but ill see what happens next time...

Got my Opty about 5 mins ago, CABNE, hopefully it will be going to at least 2.8 Ghz. Only got the Akasa Evo tho :(

Wow! very nice. Look forward to how you get on when you get your ballistix. Top stuff.

gratz on results man, i got a cabye 540 fpmw thats rune 3.ghz on air, i had a lovely pair of balistixs thats ran 300 fsb 3,3,3, 10 at 2.8v memtest stable for 24 hours, then under a week one stick started to error ><.

Got new sticks after a bloody month from a competitor and they took teh biscuit seriosuly, but the new sticks wont run 300 even at 2.9v with active cooling.

Hoping to get my watercooling up soon, thank god i bought my storm block :)

removing ihs has so far given me extra 200mhz
I took mine off and didnt seem to make much of a difference, i did have a problem mounting it using my thermaltake big typhoon tho :( temps went through the roof so i stuck the ihs back on with a bit of as5

I've got 2x1gb of the Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC4000 and it REFUSES to run nice with my DFI NF4 SLI-DR. It can't even overclock near as well as my 2x512mb of Geil Golden Dragon PC3500. I can't figure it out.
