I think it makes sense when I use MacLeod's checklist. So thanks for that!

Where are you located?
Switzerland Zurich / I would buy via digitec.ch and other local stores
What is your budget?
Around 3000 CHF / 1970 GBP
Will you need a monitor, keyboard, and/or mouse included in that budget?
No
Shall you be requiring an OS?
Yes
What will you be using this rig for?
80% Work - 3D modeling (modo, zbrush, vray, maybe later 3d max), 2D painting tools like photoshop, painter.
20% Gaming
If gaming, what resolution will you be playing at?
2560x1440
Will you be overclocking?
Later yes. I will learn that.
Do you need a full build or will you be reusing some old parts?
Full build
Anything else?
I need Wi-Fi for the moment. Ethernet Cable it's right now not possible. EDIT: I bought a homeplug network adapter.
The Rig should look cool! (Black/White theme)

I would like to build my first rig. I have a Phanteks Ethnoo Pro (white) case to start. Maybe you have good tips with the parts.

....

Thank you all for the help!

Homeplug networking

GPU wise for your needs youll want Nvidia for Cuda Cores

Mobo's all siully expensive for a workstation tbh (especially with a single gpu) - youve also not mention CPU or Memory and both of these are big choices for a render workstation

Thanks Tom for the fast answer. I copied a link with the parts HERE

So ASUS GTX-780 OC STRIX 6GB would be the better option.

I heard something good about Intel Core i7-4790K, I think something like that?

And for the Memory, the Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3-2400 have a good price here.
Would 16GB be enough?

And what would be a good Mobo for a less price? Maximus VII Ranger it's little bit cheaper than the Hero and Formula. Or MSI Z97M Gaming would be also a cheap one.

Thank you

If your computer is going to be 90% workstation, you might as well go the extra 10% over budget and go the socket 2011 route.

If that's a little too expensive, which I could understand, you can easily save some cash now and save up for future upgrades for instance;
- Get a Hyper 212 for now, upgrade to an H100i later.
- Use the stock PSU cables for now, buy fancy ones later.
- Get a regular cheap keyboard for now and upgrade to a mechanical one later.

Wait, what programs do you use and what/if any GPU acceleration do they use?
-edit- nvm I misread.
zbrush doesn't support cuda. Neither does modo. Actually neither seem to really use the GPU from what I can see on the 'net.
hrmm

@Feronix: Thank you for the list. I think it makes sense to buy some fancy upgrades later and spend the money for a 2011 chip. So 2011 are better for work and 1150 are better for gaming?

@barnsley: I began with ZBrush and Modo. I'm sure I'll give other software also a try.

The reason we usually say that 1150 is best for gaming is not because it is better performance-wise, but because basically any Intel quad core + chip performs the same in games and so for gaming, 2011 chips simply aren't worth the extra money.

For a workstation though, definitely go 2011.

Hello everybody.

Thank you all for the feedback. It's a wile I started this thread. And finally I have the time to buy and build a Workstation PC.

Now, the good thing is, all the new X99 stuff is out. And except of the Memory, everything has nearly the same price than the "older" hardware. So I think I could spend the money for the newer stuff for my workstation build.

I did a new Part list, feedback are welcome!! My budget for the parts are little bit more. But I think this could work fine for my use!? I don't know what the priority is for a good workstation for 3D rendering and modeling. I think memory and a good cpu is for sure important. So maybe I have to buy better parts or this parts are for sure good enough? I want to have a build for the next 5 years without buying a lot new parts.

PCPartPicker part list http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WZh9RB

I also check every week some websites for good offers and I bought so far for a good price:
- Corsair HX750i PSU
- Corsair LX 512GB SSD
- Phanteks Ethnoo Pro (white)
- ASUS PB278Q, 2560 x 1440 Pixel
- Mouse and Keyboard
- Devolo dLAN 550 Powerline Adapter

Thank you!
