Wiring a new Pump

Hey! I Picked up a Hydor pump cheap because it doesnt have a plug... the wires are open. I got blue and brown, and was wondering what the best way to wire them up would be. I got an Asetek relay here as well, is there any way to use the 2 together?

Sorry if this is noobish...I`m just up and I`ve never messed around with watercooling before

I`ve had a look around the internet, and it looks like the pump is supposed to be wired into the Asetek pump relay. I`ve taken the top off the relay box, and theres a 2-port box for the wires, with the same holding style as a wall plug. Does anyone know which wire goes into which hole? It looks like I need a 4-pin floppy power connector for the relay as well.

I was thinking about wiring the pump directly to the end of the plug that goes between the PSU and the mains lead, but I think thats wrong.

If these ideas are wrong, please let me know...I`ll be trying it/them out tonight :)

Sorted! wired the pump into the relay- someone pointed out that it doesnt matter where each wire goes because its an A.C. supply. Pump works fine :)

Hi Kenny,

I was going to say that, AC = Alternating current so it does not matter which way the wires are installed.

DC of course is direct current so it is very important that you do not wire those up teh worng way round.

Cheers
