Couldn't find a perigee also forum so wasn't sure where to post this, but basically I'm. Looking for a wireless lap board for TV gaming.

I want somethingike the new Corsair lap board, but at £200 not including the mouse and only blue LEDs, it's a bit out of my budget and not for me.

I don't want just a board to out a keyboard on, I want something that's actually attached some how. And preferably RGB. Ant suggestions? I've not really been able to find anything.

well you will be limited from the start as there has never been a market for it. I know Corsair and Razer do them, but you pay a premium too.

As I'm quite the Corsair fan, Everything they do I pretty much have, I'd usually recommended them, But for an all in one solution sub £200 I can highly recommend the Razer Turret, Keyboard and mouse, Built in board etc....Comes with a dock to recharge and all required bits, Yes it's green but at £150 for all of it, It's a pretty good bargain.

Razer store only - https://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/gaming-controllers/razer-turret

If you want RGB's then either hope Razer bring an RGB version out or go the very expensive Corsair route with the Corsair K63 RGB Wireless, COMING SOON, K63 Lapboard and Dark Core Wireless Mouse.

ya they is clunky but really when you laying back on the big ass comfy couch or lazyboy its something you will have to deal with yes the razor one dose look nice and slim but how comfortable and versatile will it be in actual use without having to add something under it for stability , it wont be comfortable after just 1 hour of gaming

Tom i see done a review on ones well -yes also seem big n clunky lol

edit: my bad thats the old corsair one:eek:

not sure if this one is the same one you found layer cakes but different angel

I'm really not too fussed about it being bug and clunky, in fact it would probably suit me better than the skinny razor one.

The above lapdog was an option I considered, but I'll want to run a powered USB extention all the way around of the edge of the room which just makes it a right hassle.

It would seem that corsair and razor are well aware it's a slightly niche market and sure are pricing things accordingly!

ya that would be the thing if you want it wireless but you could give it a second thought on making your own one with a nice fiber cloth across the top some foam side legs maybe even a couple small screws/claps that latch on the corners of the keyboard to keep it fixed down
that way you can customize it to your size for comfort , not saying do one like this but can get an idea from it

that way you be free to upgrade or change over anything that breaks or go's wrong and have a keyboard thats full rgb

as for not having side legs on it you could theoretically have a kinda been bag attached under it so when you put it on your legs it will form round sitting comfortably somthing like this if you get what i mean

This is what I'm starting to think of doing. Cut a board to the size of a big mouse mat, then attach some velcro to hold the keyboard down?

ya to tell you the truth thats exactly what i would do if you want a tip : 2 or 3 thin plywood on one or two do a cut out of your keyboard stick them together that way it will nestle nicely in that part, with the velcro under it to keep it stable and it wont be just sitting on top of the board

this way bonus you can pick a choose a nice rgb keyboard to your specs , either painted, varnished or a nice patterned cloth across the top all the the fraction of the price of a ready built one (well depending if you splurge on keyboard)

can always ask your cat to help

Is it going to be your daily driver or just for gaming? if just for gaming I would get

Simply because you will only ever touch like, five keys.

At the moment I just have a Logitech K400 which is just horrible to type on and doesn't have a back light.

I don't do a huge amount of typing on this machine, but it's nice to have a decent set of keys for when I need to. As long as it's wireless, back-lit and not as mushy as that logitech I'm good really.

after having a closer look at that one alien i like that as well it also is back lit but mostly cos it got that 2.4G connection i do prefer that to bluetooth myself, bluetooth can be fussy and frustrating sometimes have had it completely gone of system after certain MS updates and it was a bitch to get back
