Windows Touch Rated Monitors

Hi, with the retail release of Windows 7 coming up, I can't seem to find monitors on sale supporting the "Window Touch" features. The touch technology only works with monitors that have the feature. Does anyone know of Windows Touch monitors for sale? and do you think it will improve your gaming experience?

What are the requirements for Touch ?

Cos there are some old touchscreens about. How about overlays ?

Gaming.... don't know about that, have to be something new and all. Wouldn't think the screens would looke that great compared to regulars.

hey,

MS have released Hardware Compatibility info and touch screen monitors need to have the MS logo to be 'officially' supported.

Win 7 HCL LINK

Also applications will need to support the touch feature, so you would need to upgrade the apps you want to use touch with.

I don't think overlays will work, yet!, will need to wait for a company to release software to use overlays on Win 7.

I agree with you on the quality compared to regular for gaming. Looking at the price difference touch screens are more expensive for the same screen size.

That's the same model, cept 17", we use in studios for selecting callers and audio directions.

Works well on XP ! lol.

Would add to all this, that using a touchscreen constantly gives u real pains in ur arm.

Some of the features look really good but do you thing you would use them on a desktop system? Putting you hand out and touching your screen when it upright is awkward. I think they would be much better suited to laptops with swivel screens/tablets?
