windows 8 to 8.1

I have what might be a totally NOOB question, i have my current os installed windows 8 with media center, if i was to go upgrade to 8.1 would it ruin all my drivers & current set up, as i REALLY don't want to download everything again like steam & the likes of all the software i use? :huh:

If you upgrade through the Windows Store you wont have to change or reinstall anything. Well, maybe your GPU drivers, that was the only thing I needed to reinstall anyway.

If you upgrade with a ISO or disk you will need to reinstall all your stuff again.
