Windows 10 physx error 43

Hi i have an old gtx 570 installed as a physx card (simply as ive got no other use for it) but in windows 10 it it not working at all, when it is installed as the main gpu it works fine however. on the device manager it gives the error 43 in the description, ive uninstalled drivers and used reinstalled a few different drivers but still no joy, any ideas why im getting this problem ?

Could have something to do with the GTX570 being an older card

I have a gtx570 in the cupboard. I won't be around my rig till tomorrow but I'm happy to swap out one of my 980s and see if it throws up the same errors as yours running the 570 as a PhysX card.

I have Win 10 Pro 64bit.

Thanks bud, my install is Windows 10 pro 64bit as well. Really want to upgrade to a gtx 980ti but funds don't allow it just now

Hey sorry haven't been able to pull my cards until now.

When I bought my first 980 I had issues with it being detected. Tried another slot, reinstall driver, DDU etc. Had to put my 570 back into the bottom slot to get that recognised, reinstalled drivers and then put the 980 in. It could just be temperamental.

Also - there were issues with Windows 10 not detecting a second card until it had installed the first one. When going SLi I had a few issues as well. New driver works for 1st card, then downloads second driver by itself so the card didn't show in device manager for a while. Not sure if that's rectified yet either. My cards have been running fine the last couple of weeks.

Just as a control - I dedicated my second 980 to PhysX only (disable SLI) and that worked fine.

Anyhow. I'll let you know how I go!

Update

Well I ended up with the same problem. It says error 43 but insists the driver is the latest or correct version. I manually updated it too from a saved version.

I get the following in event log (Sorry not sure if it's any help)

This just sucks arse mate, I'm feeling for you ... I personally hate when older stuff doesn't work properly, even though in itself, it's working completely fine.

Cheers lads, I'm getting exactly the same result as what you posted jimma, been thinking I might just sell my 780 and the 570 to put towards a new card. I guess in time little problems will be ironed out, my sound card isn't working properly neither (creative x-fi titanium) but that's another story lol

We have the same sound card as well... mine didn't originally work with Windows 10 but it's fine now.
I don't think the drivers are out specifically for that card yet but to be honest i haven't looked since the sound came back on one day

Nice rig ! Mine needs stripped down and a a proper cleaning, it's not minging or anything but I miss that new built look !
