Win Gigabyte Z87 & Haswell CPU's

Sparkle, what I don't see is where you draw the line? Who is contributing to the forum and who isn't? Do you have to have computers as you main interest in life? I joined the forum for the last christmas comp, for the prize of course but in all sincerity course I really needed a good PC forum if I need help with anything. I'm not one of those people who buys new gear every month. So I have mainly made messages in the comps and the introduction section. Why? Because I haven't had the need to engage myself further in any thread, if I do I just want to buy better stuff which I know I cant afford right now, so that's that. What I'm saying is that just because a user isn't as "active" as you may want doesn't mean that the user is some kind of cockroach. If you hate this "stupid thread" so much then don't post/follow it.. Like your pic btw, but the show is so stupid nowadays.. every episode is like 50% fillers =/

i understand that some people have other things in their life so dont devote all there time to a forum. like me. i like cars cooking i have a motorbike that i like to scoot about on, i love anime and games. my favourite recent purchase is a ps vita. my issue is the time, this thread has been open so long just put the poeople out of their misery lol.man one piece i love the show and i have the collectors ed of pirate warriors 2 coming soon. ive just got finished with enel the lightning god guy. flip me it took forever to finish that arc. like after luffy appeared to fight him it felt like a further 15 eps before he was defeated. watched bleach before and loved it, there were so many holy ballz moments it was sweet.

At competition time many people do only join for their chance at prizes but many also join to become a part of this community, its just what happens.
This thread/competition will end at its time, just be patient.

I do agree that One piece has way to much filler, but i love it! I'm more of a Bleach fan myself (hence my sig).
I recently finish Fullmetal Alchemist, brilliant show would recommend it to any anime fans.

Signing up, joining in and viewing ad's is doing more than enough to support OC3D.

Get off your elitist totem pole, I've been here since 2008 and i don't have the greatest amount of posts.

Im not being elitist mate. Is it wrong of me to hope that the forum grows with actual users. I havent got a huge post count aswell but I definitely contribute as much as my knowledge permits. Do you not get a feeling of happiness when you notice new people post more and more. Yes the load of traffic generated and ad revenue is good for a while but its not growth

That's all good. To be honest, I'm a naruto guy lol. ^_^ But one peice is to damn funny to pass up. And yeah it has its "holy -snip-" moments

Nice contradiction there.

One of the main reasons I joined this forum was to learn , And I have learned alot , I try to learn something everytime I log on here.
And if someone posts a question that I can answer , I will.
I think that's one of the main purposes of this forum is knowledge distribution and learning from others.
I've only been a member here for a little over a year , but for me it's great to see new members stay and contribute .

I wast contradicting myself its in reference to those that come for the give aways but stay and continue to be part of the community. Mark. You see where im coming from in regards to the growth. Even though the traffic generated by the giveaways is good. Its only temporary. The few that stay are awesome. But would it not be better if more stayed. More posts more help more ad revenue for the boss and staff. Thats what im trying to get at. When this is over we can see how we have grown. We have the best youtube channel why cant we have the biggest forum. I hope this posts my phone has a tendency to sign out

I know what you are trying to say but stating "not growth" is a complete lie. Ever since the competition started i have seen many many more people posting in other areas other the forum. Whatever it may be it's still growth. If we gain 1 more person it's still growth. Granite not the best but it's still slowly but surely growing.

anyway let's get back on topic.
/end of off topic discussion

[Excuse me as a drag this along just a little longer]

You guys should also consider that not every member here knows enough to contribute.

I'm happy to engage on discussions about gaming, motorsports or off-topic nonsense, but I simply don't know enough to really add anything to the computer part of this community.

Make no mistake, I got here because of this very contest and certainly would not have visited the forum otherwise, but is it really such a bad thing?

Try and think that this is an effective way to bring members into the forum, breaking the ice and encouraging them to experience it.

And then again, I don't know enough to lecture you lot, but YOU DO, and all things considered, learning from you is the reason I'd be part of such a community.

Read threads , research info and ask questions , this is a great place to learn.
With the help from some members here , I built my first system , you can too.

Perhaps a return kick may be in order :D

Sorry, couldn't resist

hi sorry to ask but has any one won yet?
seems i on the first page still said the same.

You needn't apologize for asking a question on this or any other forum.
It's a forums only reason for being.
On the other hand, you should be apologized to for not being answered in a quick, accurate and polite way by someone who can actually help you.
Not by people that make jokes, give unsubstantiated answers or any other type of jerk.
My apologies for not being able to answer your question. I'd also like an answer along with far too many people asking the same thing.

seems like you are one of the many who only visit the forum just to click on this thread to see if there are any winner announcements, and not take part in the forums as a whole.

then, when you don't see what YOU want to see, you get depressed about the forum.

here's a tip (for FREE):

  1. assume that you haven't won, and will never win anything.
  2. stop visiting the forums.
  3. stop whinging and moaning.
  4. if you ARE one the lucky ones... you will get an email.
simple as.

have a nice day :D
