the one with 10 extra entries will have 10 times as much chance to win, say the person with one entry has 0.01% chance to win, the one with with the 10 entries has 0.10% chance to win.

There have been competitions without using FB before.

The concept of a give-away or competition is to get some publicity and attention, which is helped by social media.

Don't blame them to be honest, the amount of puerile stuff I see on Facebook makes me feel ashamed of my generation :/ I've deactivated my account many times, but it's just so difficult to hear about events without it because it's all everyone uses any more.

FB is poo, you just get people saying "Who threw a kebab at my door last night, I'm going to find you!" I still have it for the comedy value though. :')
