Win 10 auto updates feature, includes drivers?

Was wondering this rainy and cold June afternoon (wow that sounds like the beginning of some B-rated chick-flick), this Win 10 auto updates feature that you can't turn off (I'm opposed to that), does it include GPU and such drivers? Because I do not want to install any driver whatsoever through Win Update. That should be done manually by us folks.

The answer might determine whether or not I'll stick with 10 Home, or opt for Pro (I don't know what other advantages Pro has over Home). I know, in Pro you can only delay them, which gives me the chance the manually install drivers.

Now, Home would obviously be free for me, if I want Pro I'll buy an 8.1 Pro download, auto upgrade to 10 Pro and be done (cheapest route to 10 Pro for me), which is quite the upgrade path to take but alas.

AFAIK just like any other Windows installation Windows has basic drivers but not vendor specific so you'll still need GPU, Mobo etc...drivers.

Excellent! I ask because in the past Win 7 offered e.g. Geforce drivers through updates same for mobo drivers, and that's what I want to avoid.

Have also asked Asrock if they'll release Win 10 drivers or my mobo...if not I'm screwed.

Well Windows 10 "Windows Updates" will have mobo and GPU drivers but just like any other version of Windows you can choose to not download them :)
 
Yep, anyway did a fresh install of the last build on my HTPC and the lastest catalyst drivers have been installed automatically, including the CCC.

Personally I'd prefer it not to install them at all, less faff, and less worry of conflicting stuff that hasn't been properly uninstalled.

Auto driver updaters always, always have issues, they never clean up old stuff properly. (this is why we have guides like the ones you write on driver removal)

^ Agreed!! Also, for example, when installing Geforce drivers I only want the driver and PhysX, none of the other stuff, which it will auto-install. Win 7 Home > Win 8.1 Pro > Win 10 Pro it is then -- gonna need a day off for that lol
