Will you be going conroe?

Ugh, It's not AM2 itself that will save AMD. It's the fact that AMD is more than likely working on a brand new processor with a revised architecture that will run more operations per clock cycle. And I have a feeling that it will be released on the AM2 platform now that we are clear for takeoff in the memory bandwidth department.

AMD is planning on releasing their quad core "Deerhound" proc in qtr 1 07. I will have to see if I can find the source again. It is supposed to be on the 65nm tech and a few other changes in the core.

Im gonna wait till the market levels out and AM2 shoves the 939 prices down, then get myself an FX or something

Deerhound, it's whats for dinner! Can't wait to see this, quad core proccies are going to be off the chain, and dual quad core servers will just be nuts! I'd love to build a folding rig on a dual quad core setup. :yumyum:

How about Clovertown? Intel's quad core with 2x4mb shared L2 cache?
