Yep, and a second Xeon E5645 to go with it
It'll be a little while before it's fully up and folding though...I'm going to experiment with vSphere so I can fold natively in Linux as well as have a Windows environment for me to play with. I'm hoping this can be a 180k+ ppd machine...though with the points change I'm not quite sure how the super bigadav units are affected..
I'd still be happy with 150k ppd for a machine that should pull less than 300 watts

That is just silly. I'm pushing almost a kilowatt for 25k on four boxes.

Well I noticed we as a team seem to be slipping in ppd so I had to do something
VG, whereabouts in Florida are you? I'm in Miami, which is a big reason for me to go SR-2. They are about the best setups out there in terms of PPD per watt and the amount of heat they put out. The downside of course is the large upfront costs with such a rig.

I'm doing my best, Riot, to add PPD to the team. I am a bit frustrated, however, 'cuz even tho' I run up more points and jobs, I can't improve my team standing. You see, someone keeps me from breaking into the 70s. That someone is umfpt.

I'm in Orlando, stuck with SECO power. You know, the power company that buys power from other companies, marks it up, and then re-sells it and pretends to provide a valuable service. The startup cost is killer for the SR-2 setups, yeah... but -bigadv units are just worth so dang much! Too much, I think, but that's only because I haven't priced up a SR-2 setup yet.
