I want to individual sleeve the perma attached cables on my hx1050 so I've been searching the internets for kits and stuff but everywhere I've checked so far looks shady. So any US kids that have had a good experience from somewhere let me know.

Thanks!

I would at least check this store out. I have no experience but they are quite new and from what I've heard they do very well with costumers and the costumer service is awesome. I've spoken to them through email and they have given me great tips and I don't know how you say it in english but their "mood" towards you is very good :S

Find someone who sells paracord. I payed only 7£ for 30 meters

MDPC is nice and Techflex aswell.

ive bought 1500ft from a vendor on ebay. and a cat in las vegas has

sold my about 600ft. and this winter i will be a sleeving guru.

8.80 per 100ft with 40 colors to choose from. and i bought a lace tool

to keep from snagging (works beautifully) tapes and shrink still can

marr the cord. and that is one thing about paracord, it snags like a

beast. once its snagged, not much to do other than bury it on the

unseen side or start again. the nylon weaves are more durable, but

top quality demands high prices. you otta have a lot of patients to

sleeve, there are many YT vids on paracord sleeving.. watch them

many times, until you can predict what happens next, then try your

hand..

eBay, my friend. eBay.

50 feet of 550lb paracord, any color, $9.00 plus shipping. You can get different colors and lengths (depending on stock) bundled as well.

One example:

eBay 550 Paracord

So is paracord better or is there other ones you would say are worth getting?

edit: and what size heatshrink makes a good fit on the paracord?

Paracord is cheaper and pretty easy to work with once you know what you're doing. It looks great too. I use between 4-12 mm heat shrink depending on the connector sizes. Buy 5 or 6 is good for 550lb.

Well It sounds like mdpc is better but I have to be up at 2am just to try and buy some? I think I'll just buy a ton of cheap paracord to learn on. See if I'm even patient enough to sleeve.

if using heat-shrink (i dont) use 4:1 ratio shrink if you can find it, the 3:1 is ample. the 2:1 (common found) is

plausable, but search for the higher ratio for a better grip and seal.

the reason i dont it makes the connection end to stiff to make bends to exit and now you have a wire bunch

pointing up instead of back..

now i am searching into 90° connectors to make that bend less obvious.

another "tweak" is to include a stiff wire to "mold" the wire into a stiff rigid line. another thing is to find a wire

comb to "contain" the cluster in a uniformed line, also.
