What am I doing wrong?... I clicked so that adblocker shouldn't run on this site, yet it does? :huh:...
Nope, Adblock says "AdBlock has been deactivated on this site" and is a green thumbs up icon.
And I've also deactivated uBlock Origin... And that's it for adblockers in my Chrome.
Funny thing is that it shows up like that, but without that big box on Internet Explorer for me as well, and I have no extensions or so installed on that one lol.
I don't even see those stripes on the sides.

Yes, I have now both tested to manually whitelist the site and still the same effect. AND also deactivating adblock itself on the site, still the same.
Really? And are you using AdBlock too?...
Yes with OC3D whitelisted of course

some of the ads are in tickover dude to end of month I believe, but only the tall ones on the sides. Tom will know more but that screenshot proves that some adblocker is running because the background ad is gone and that is definitely *not* on tickover. If you have multiple blockers running they *will* be interfering with each other. (not in a sexual way)

I have the same issue. I whitelisted the site and I only get the stripes on the side, nothing else. If unwhitelist it nothing changes.. damn weird.
Even pausing it AB does nothing or removing it.. soo i'm with Chrazey on this lol

I have abp too on firefox Dev Edition with both oc3d.tv and the forums whitelisted. I'm getting all the ads on the site as normal....
This could be an ISP issue guys...

Website is working fine for me i can see the ad's on the side and black boxes on the outside so i don't know what you guys are doing wrong :lol:

Like i said i'm not sure why it's not working for you did you go to the normal page not the forums i just white listed overclock3d.net and bang i can see ad's.

I'm not sure why you're getting uppity about it, you had them all blocked a few days ago, so you've nothing to be complaining about at all.
Clearly, there is an issue, and clearly it's not the site because other people are seeing the ads. And as I previously said, the background ad is NOT served in the same manner and yours is still blocked, so this is entirely a PEBKAC issue to me. You have something conflicting so maybe that should p you the f off and not the website that you haven't been supporting for months until caught red handed?... hmm?
To be frank (and this is entirely me saying this, not representing OC3D or Tom on this opinion) I'm getting p'd the f off with your complaints after seeing that you clearly haven't supported the site for so long and remain one of the top question-posters for all that time by quite some margin...
Have you installed the Anniversary edition update to Windows 10 recently? Because when I did I had no end of DNS and web browsing issues, so much so that I've rolled that back.
To everyone else in the thread, it looks like ublock origin not only blocks ads, but some of our new 'related content' and 'sharing' apis which seems a little bit harsh if you ask me, as they're not ads, they're related content and sharing suggestions...
It would be great if you could continue to whitelist us on your adblockers as has been said, the site relies heavily (almost entirely) on the ad-income and we don't charge subscriptions or anything else.
I'll be digging into the adblocking consequences more soon... need to come up with a less intrusive but equally fair way to ask people to turn off their adblockers on the site. (and before anyone gives suggestions, there's no need, I appreciate them, but I'll come up with something suitable as soon as I can
)
