what do you mean by "long lasting" ? 2 minutes, 10 minutes?
will you need time to shutdown your computer or continue using it at high workloads? @work we've got UPS's lasting 200 minutes for more than a hundred servers. but if there's only a slight overload on one of the phases you'll end up at just a few minutes - maybe even with failure of some batteries.
back to the subject: I trust in APC. Got one for my two NAS'. But they don't pull a lot of current.
