Which PSU would be the best for this build?

Hello!
I'm going to buy a computer with a GIGABYTE GA-Z87-HD3 Z87 S-1150 ATX
motherboard, an I5 4670k, ASUS GEFORCE GTX 770 OC 2GB as the GPU and I'll have 1tb disk + 1 120gb ssd. What power would be the best for this setup? 550w? Lower/higher?
And what PSU is the best bang for the buck in that segment?

As for which one to opt for, this one won't see you wrong (even if it's a 600W one)

Isnt there tons of coil whines in them? Or am I wrong?

Zoot's right the corsair psu is reasonably priced and it nice and modular.
And you know what that means, awesome and easy cable managment:). And no coil whines (i can say from personal experience) i have used them in my own rig and my little brothers rig and no coil whine at all. but it is possible that we dodged a bullet :)

My dad has one of these in his itx build. It has a little bit of whine but once it's under the desk you can't really hear it. To be perfectly honest if it were me I would go with a TX series based on the specs you have outlined.

I can't speak for the newer Corsairs, but I've a 4 year old Corsair HX620W which is powering the setup in my signature, no coil whine to speak of.

The best way to get a feel for it is read several reviews on the one you're thinking of going for.

The CX series is decent and not a bad way to go but Id prefer to buy something a little higher quality. For £75 you could get this XFX Pro Series 650 watt. Its modular and very well built and would last a nice long time.

i heard the 770 needs a lot of amps. like 42 or something
make sure the PSU you choose has 42+ amps on the 12 volt rail

can't recall the exact numbers, please correct me if im wrong

yes, like 16-19 amps. whenever you see on a box the amps recommended, thats an aproximation for the sistem(with room for safety).not just the gpu.so it doesn`t need a lot

Would this be good? FRACTAL DESIGN TESLA R2 650W
I think it is good, it is made of quality components and it looks good.
And it has more than enough amps 54A for your gpu witch needs 42A.
And it's priced resonable so i think it's a good choice.
The only downside is that it's not modular.

A current draw of 42A on the 12V rail would be a power draw of 504W.

To give an example of the actual figure required for the whole system, these guys have a system with an overclocked i7-3960X and a MSi GTX 770 drawing 307W from the wall at load. If you assume that's all on the 12v rail (it's not) and that the PSU is 80% efficient, you get a current draw of about 20.5A for the whole system, nowhere near the figure of 42A.

Power Supply recommendations are almost always overstated.

In any event, any of the ones that have been linked or mentioned here will handle everything just fine for the OP.
