1155 is probably the easiest. All you do nowadays is up the multiplier and increase the base clock until stable...
2011 is similar, although not quite as good as it generates far more heat.

The others require much more tinkering with base clocks to get desired result.

Depends what you mean by best really?

If you enjoy overclocking and benching, the older sockets are probably better.
If you just want a nice, easy overclocking experience, then the newer models are better.
 
What you mean by best ?

These days I'd almost not call it overclocking. Some mobos are as simple are 3 steps in the bios. Been like that since x58.

best overclocking percentage on the base clock, more stability, more fun......:)
I can say that i oc´d them all and i know perfectly what you mean! ;)
 
always fond memories of me and my uncle oc'ing the shit out of his celeron.. damn they were fun times, aopen ax64pro, awesome sauces, i think things were just more fun back then, and playing q3 timedemo001 till we were like falling asleep, brilliant.
