What Gaming Headset Should I Buy?
So I'm in the market for a gaming headset but I don't know which one would be the best for me to buy. I like my ears to be entirely covered and I like to have a decent amount of bass. I'm going to make a list and a poll on what people think I should get. Scroll down for the list. (I also want to have a somewhat decent microphone because I'm not buying a decent microphone from the start)

Razer Tiamat 2.2

Steelseries Siberia V2 (Black)

Plantronics Gamecom 780

Logitech G35

I hear the tiamat is pretty poor for the money, especially the mic so if you want a decent one, avoid those.
I haven't looked into the others yet..

I'm hearing good things about the Corsair series of headsets...

Are you using onboard or discreet sound card?

steelseries headset has a good mic and is super comfortable aswell as great sound. The all round best headset at the moment

but jamesriley will be in telling you to get headphones, soundcard and an external mic in no time :D

hahahahaa...

That depends what the budget it.
Going from the most expensive on that list being about £80, it's difficult to say get headphones, soundcard and external mic for that price.

I still wouldn't buy the headset mind you, I'd save up more - but if he's desperate for it, then fair enough.

If you do want to spend a little more though, then definitely headphones, soundcard and clip on/desk mounted mic is the way to go.

Low end Sennhieser stereo headphones, desk/ clip on mic is what I recommend to people on a budget. The HD200 line outperform the gaming headsets I've owned and heard. If you can stretch to the like of the HD518 even better, you'll notcied a huge difference even just upgrading and using onboard. If you are running from a soundcard, which one?

Out of those I would go for the Logitech,
however with a bigger budget the Astros are great, but as I said there expensive.
I would go for 7Hs even though there not gaming headsets there still great for gaming.

I think I'm going to get the Siberia's. I'm going to post one more thread though about mics.

Why go for plasticky, crappy headsets when you can get far superior stereo headsets that WILL sound better, last longer and be cheaper?
