When I first joined these forums I wrote a thread about case options and basically my shortlist of what cases and what features I did & didn't like about them.

There was always something that put me off a particular case (You can read the thread here).

After much thinking I basically decided that I was going to get the white R3 (I currently have the black R3).

I do like the FD Arc but got fed up waiting for it to be released, until I watched TTL's review last night which makes me want it again.

Should I wait for the Arc or just go ahead and get the white R3. I think I'll lose interest all together if they put the release date back again.

As for other cases... I don't want the RV-02 as the window is on the wrong side... I don't want the CM 690II as I've had it already.

As for cooling, I'll be using my Thermaltake Frio initially, but would like the option of watercooling with no mods.

The whole idea of this thread is so my next case purchase will last me a while as I think the missus is getting fed up with the amount of cases I've been through lately.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts & ideas. Cheers

CM 690 II Advanced.

It comes it white, it's good value, great upgradeablilty and you'll be able to add watercooling in the future. Note sure if it's different, but in Australia is does come with a window. For the dust problem add in some filters? Filling it with fans in theory should also stop dust from settling.

Although there is still the pointless 120mm fan on the side

+1 for the CM690IIadv

dust filters only protect from large dust particles. small particles will enter any system with filters attached. my system's internals looks like they have been sugar coated after about 3months, or so.

fan filters are just for stopping dirt particles and fluff

also... the more fans... the more noisier the rig will get

Xigmatek Utgard if it doesn't have to be a white case.

Lancool K62 is also a nice option, but it will be tricky to get it watercooled.

Fractal Design Arc... Watch the review. It's pretty slick looking and it has the OC3D seal of approval.

I'm still running the old Antec 300 (with Noctua NH-D14 now), but when I go water-cooled, I am going to get the Arc, most likely.

Soon to be released. Looks promising. Hope there will be a window version.

EDIT: To be released in August so yeah...

From the looks of it, that is really pushing the definition of mid-tower. It looks around TWO 5.25" bays TOO tall.
