During the school year i normally go to bed around 3-4 am and wake up at about 7:30am then have a nap from 3:30pm-6:00pm. during the summer i normally go to bed around 11:00am and wake up at about 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Thankyou for the replies!

Seems it's students sleeping less and at night then those at work sleeping 'early to bed, early to rise'.

I think I'm going to sleep in the morning's or early evenings - probably mornings. Almost finished my compulsory education and need plenty of sleep to write novels.

That depends, when i have holidays i sleep during the day, and i am awake during the night, but that isn't really possible on normal days.

i am not governed by the general daily routine that most have. i sleep when i am tired.... not when the 24hr-rule dictates i have to.

i also suffer from acute periodic parallysis, which totally FUBARs my days up. it makes the sun/moon cycle useless

c'est la vie

I've tried that but it makes planning anything near on impossible - also I find having more sleep than you need gives you extra speed which makes it worth it.

If I don't sleep enough, I hear screaming voices...

A consistent routine is going to be by far the best way to efficiently manage your time. Go to sleep at 11pm and wake at 8:30am, for example.

Or if you want a more dynamic approach, when ever you go to sleep (within a certain period 10pm-1am) set an alarm for 8 hours ahead to wake up at. I find that sleeping for long periods of time is counterproductive.

mid night

It became my sleeping pattern at this point, only through week days, ill go bed around 12 1 ish and wake up 7 or 8:30 depending on what time i have to leave to college. be it 9am or 11am.

sometimes i need that cup of coffee to get me out the bed though

Any time between 23:00 and 08:00 usually, if it's the weekend then it's when ever I feel tired but I still stick to 8hrs sleep.

Largely agree - but I can comfortably get away with sleeping after 18 hours of last going to bed or after 30 hours.

I think to be truely tired when I settle down I'd need to keep moving my bedtime 6 hours ahead each day.

Now that it's summer break for me, whenever. During term time I usually go to bed around 22:30. During revision I split my sleep up into two 4 hour chunks, with usually 8 hours of revision in between. These are usually decided at the start of the revision period.

11pm on weekdays and 12pm mostly on weekends (on occasion I go to sleep at 1 or 2 am - at a stretch 3 am). On weekdays I go to bed at 11 because I wake up at 6.30 for work.

What is this thing you call sleep???? Never heard of it before...is it any good???

lol depends on my next day lol if I have to work the next day i'm normally in bed by midnight 1am if I'm off the next day I can stay up all night and game or watch the idiot box. nap on the couch a ferw hours and back at it lol.
