ISP: Tiscali "8Mb" (my arse)

Router: DLink 54mb

PC's:

Red October (Gaming,Vista Business 64, wired)

Marquis de Carabas (File Server, XP, wired)

Pile of Crap (Media PC,Vista Home 32, wireless)

Craptop (Laptop from '99, XP (amazingly badly), wired if ever on)

Other:

Archos 705 wifi (wireless, can even be a second server :D)

Plan on getting some kind of new router with gigabit switches rather than 10/100 to speed up any internal file transfering, but apart from that I am happy, they all do their jobs. Except the craptop, which does its just painfully slowly and was my only PC for 4 months, with its 400Mhz Pentium 2. I wanted to shoot my face off during that time.

ISP: O2 LLU @ 8MB (runs on same network at BE*)

Netgear DG834G (soon to upgrade to GT)

Main rig connected via ethernet

Xbox 360 via ethernet

Not the most interesting of networks but it works :)

At home:

8Mb Force9 (i.e. 2Mb in the sticks)

Whatever unreliable BT router: Mum's Laptop

1Gbps Switch: (TP Link) My PC, Mum's PC, EEEPC, Pico ITX (server)

1Gbps Switch (Netgear): Dad's PC, Linux Box

100Mbps Switch: PS3, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360 (EEEPC sometimes)

Wireless: PSP

At College, there is a strict 1 machine per socket...hence my room has:

100Mbps Internet (yeah)

PC

Second network (off second network socket on pc)

Gbps TP Link Router:

EEEpc

Pico ITX

The things we do for network security and filesharing between pcs.

On the plus side, itunes always picks up about 20 libraries so if you ever get bored of your own music...

I rate them pretty high. Suppose it depends more on your power cables through you house as to if they will work correctly. I get full 100mb speeds throughout the house without any ugly wires and no wireless drop outs. Its honestly been as stable as having cat5 running throughout the house. You will never get them to go quicker than 100mb though as the lan side of them is only 100mb.

Best bet is to buy some with a good rep for returns and test them.
