Hello All,

I have a XSPC Rasa Cpu Waterblock & as i'm always looking to upgrade parts in my rig what's the best performing upgrade i can purchase ??? :headscratch::headscratch:

cheers andy....

What temps are you getting? Is there really a need to upgrade it? If temps arent good enough for you, you may want to look at a better rad or fans rather than a block.

The Raystorms are good though, but not too sure how much better they are than the Rasa. Just know they look a lot better

The raystorm is probably the best block out there at the moment. Beats the RASA by about 1-5 degrees depending on the rest of the setup.

The RASA block is more restrictive than the raystorm so weaker pumps perform better with the raystorm but things nearly even out with powerful pumps.

That may make you decide to upgrade something else first. Radiators and fans will usually have more impact on temps.

Here's a review with some other good blocks.

Koolance 370 and the new EK CPU blocks are also good choices, as others have said though rads and fans will have more of an impact on performance than the CPU block.

I would say dont bother tbh, nothing will give enough performance to make it worth upgrading. Bigger rad is the way forward if anything but youve not said anything about the rest of the rig.

the rad currently in is a 360 x 35mm thick i think its called the RS 360.

just ordered an Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 360mm Triple Radiator from specialtech.

will let you all know when it arrives and i get it fitted,

cheers andy....:)

+1 for the GUV..

you are chasing dimes with a dollar. repost your temperatures with your rig specs for an
evaluation of areas of improvement (if any)

airdeano

I wouldnt bother doing anything then, either stay put or buy something you like the look of.

If You have that rad cooling just the CPU you are already wasting money by buying the 60mm thick one though tbh......

I think that if you were starting a whole new build from scratch, it would make sense to go with the Raystorm. But, as you've got a perfectly functioning block which is still doing it's job just fine, there's really no point at all.
There's always the next build, after all :)
