They do take a look at this https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Motherboards+-+Intel/Socket+1155+-+Intel+Z77/ASUS+SABERTOOTH+Z77+Intel+Z77+Socket+1155+DDR3+PCI-Express+Motherboard+?productId=49261

Well I said I would never use another Gigabyte board, but looking at the spec's for them I think Gigabyte is going to be my only option.

All the board's that I have seen up to now, will only do dual card's at 8x-8x where as the Gigabyte will do dual card's at 16x-16x or triple/quad at 8x-8x-8x/8x.
Mate crossfire/sli on 16x or 8x its doesnt make a difference really

Im still happy with my p8p67 Deluxe atm but if I was gonna upgrade I would go ASUS as its my favourite brand. Saying that though ive never given a Gigabyte board a go and am tempted by one of those where you can fit an msata ssd for caching. So I might go with them next.

Cheer's mate, never really looked at it myself and just always thought it would be allot slower.

Well that clears the way for me to go to Asus for my board now to choose which one to get

Don't like the Sabertooth board's I think they look kind of plain and boring so will have to have a look at Scan later.

Gigabyte for me, either the UD5 or the sniper. But saying as ivy will probably be 1155's last hurrah, i might just go the 2011 route. Either way im in no rush

To be honest I think that Sabertooth will looks the best inside your cosmos, I was thinking about that board as well but it doesnt have PCI slot, and I need it for my Asus Xonar D2. So I will not upgrade my motherboard now and maybe keep it my current one till next year, and than go for new intel procesor, or maybe I go for 2011, I dont know yet.

Picked up the ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional yesterday - so far very impressed. Fastest boot time I have ever had. From cold I'm using the desktop in under 30 seconds. Thats without even using the advanced hibernation features yet. Cracking board/chipset so far.

Was going to go for the Gigabyte UD5, but seeing as the extra USB connectors are made possible by hub-chips thus not performing that great, and the rest of the added features are of no use to me, I've changed my mind. I'd rather save 30 quid by going for either the MSI Z77A-GD65 or the Asus P8Z77-V Pro. To me, the obvious choice is the MSI. It's got way better audio quality and is also more power efficient, and I don't care about the WiFi module the Asus board offers. In fact, the Z77A-GD65 is one of the, if not THE most power efficient Z77 board out there. And it looks great too.

Edit: Have a look at these sound quality graphs: http://nl.hardware.info/reviews/2652/22/20-intel-z77-moederborden-vergelijkingstest-geluidskwaliteit

The Asus V pro doesn't really perform that well when it comes to SNR or Dynamic Range.

im using the MSI Z77A-GD65 with my 2500k and its a wonderful board so far, detected everything fine with shipping bios and had no problems with drivers

didnt need msata or wlan stuff so i went with the MSI one and for the price i cant complain so far

If I had to pick something else then Gigabyte, I'd go for MSI. Back in the day Microstar owned the market like a boss and tbh. they still make really good hardware.

i was just going to update my graphics card until ivy bridge hits the mainstream, then see how it performs before splurging on a full upgrade, but it looks like my plans will have to change as today the heatsink retention barb on my asus m4a79t-deluxe randomly sheared, with no warning or reason. so unless i can locate a new retention bracket, my plans will have to be moved up
