Have Decided on this set up

Q6600 G0/ABIT IP-35 PRO/2X1GB OCZ PC-8500/TUNIC TOWER CPU COOLER(£355)

ASUS RADEON 3870 512MB(£133)

CREATIVE X-FI EXTREME AUDIO(£28)

PIONEER DVR-115D DVDRW(£20)

SAMSUNG 500GB 16MB CACHE SPINPOINT(£62)

22" FUJITSU SIEMENS L22W-5(£149)

JUST A CASE LEFT TO GET,WOULD LIKE A NICE CASE WITH LCD MONITOR FOR TEMPS ETC,ANY IDEAS ANYONE,AND ALSO WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE ABOVE PROPOSED BUILD?

JON

22" is def more cost effective but an extra 2" goes a looooooong way, i think you will be glad you got a 24 over a 22(if you did).

Samsung and Dell both make a good 24" i think its 2407 model for dell.

For the 22" Samsung and Westinghouse <-the one i have is also nice.

A decent 600w supply will run that lot easy.

I was thinking of a ThermalTake 600W ToughPower Psu,Also can anyone recommemd a good quality case with lcd to monitor temps(i know i have asked this before, but just too see if i get a reply this time)

Many Thanks

Jon

Monitor wise a 24" S-PVA panel is the king. 22" TN panels are cheap and do a fairly good job though.

PSU take a look at the PCP&C 750w Silencer(bearing in mind you should never scrimp on the PSU).

LCD wise crystalfontz make some very sweet ones.

The PCP&C 750W Silencer seems dear,i am currently using a Thermaltake 750W Toughpower which cost £75 compared to the £95 for PCP&C,being kinda new and still learning about components i thought a 600w one might cut down on electricity bills as other half is complaining about bills:p,but still i'll bear it in mind

Thanks
