hi peps need a set of speakers for my comp heavy into gameing and no buget was looking for the razer mako or bosch ? any info or tips useing vista to

i was looking at the razer mako or the bose companion 5 all my keyboard and mouse and mat are from razer but if the qulity is beter with bosh then i will get them any body even seen were you can buy the mako speakers ?????

bosh = bose?

razer would make crap speakers...they make peripherals not speakers :p

The top end creative (gigaworks) are more powerful than the logitechs @ 170w rms

how did you put creative, logitech and bose in any kind of comparitive sentence? thats just insulting....

it completely depends on what you're looking to spend, and also the soundcard you have.

if you want 'good' pc speakers the higher end creative stuff is good, i have no experience with logitech ones but they seem small and i've heard they're tinny and usually ugly.

having just moved from a decent set of creatives to a proper surround sound amp and decent surround sound speakers instead of speakers designed for a pc.. i have to say i wont be making the mistake of going low budget again.

if you really do have no budget and don't care spend just over a grand like i did you won't regret a second of it.

then again depends on the sound card and what it can output also.. i'm

ed off with my x-fi as it needs some stupid special cable to get 7.1 analogue and something else thats never in stock to get digital out.. so i'm getting an auzentech next week to sort this out :D

the shorter version of that is, if you have no budget, and want quality start looking at amps and decent speaker setups that cost more than £500+

I agree with SuB, if you really like Audio then a proper surround setup with something like Jamo, Mission, Mordant Shorts or the like will be far far superior to a sh1te PC speaker setup

At the moment i have a sony 9000es amp and a full set of mision 77c/775 front/77sub/3x77ds for the rear all with silver spiral cables, but i never get to go above minus 43 on the volume so the sytem is going to waste plus i have the razer barcuda sound card the moment

then my advice would be to go for a full decent set of speakers instead of crappy pc ones which are never worth what you pay tbh

doesn't matter if you can't always put the volume up, those days that you can you will thank yourself, i'd much prefer to have it to play with when i have the option than tone down permanently ;)

besides you will get better definition and a more dynamic rich sound from higher quality speakers with less volume, than pc speakers tbh?

Bose is horrible. Go with Logitech z-5300s if you want good speakers on a budget. Otherwise, go with a good real speaker setup.

i got the z-2200, i love them

im trying to sell them to get the z-5500's

but if ur gonna be gaming, i would rather go for headphones

Or Tanoy..

well i have parents and such living in my house ( i live with them actually XD ) and i cant have speakers blasting into the late night

as do i currently live with the rents just be understanding, when they're out use your money when they're out turn it down and turn off the subwoofer, if its late use headphones :P

having thought about it if you REAAALLLY wanted the best, get bang and olufsen they beat all without even thinking, and they look sweet, but dont expect any change from like £10,000 :P
