What mouse mat to use with a logitech G5?

I need to buy one, becuse im using it on a laminated desk at the moment, and its not very smooth for games, and my wrist is getting buggered.

Thanks

Rob

I used a Steelpad S&S mousepad with my Logitech G5 but have now changed to a Razer ExactMat for my Razer Deathadder.

I have an Icemat V1 and it works fine and dandy :)

I would say, however, that the teflon feet with the icemat wear down quite quick

Ok thanks, so for the G5 you would recoment wither a ice mat or steelpad, do the razer mats work well or are they specifically designed for thier mouses?

Rob

Razor mats can be used with any mouse

I would definitely say an Icemat is a good choice with a G5, especially if you're a twitch gamer and like playing FPS games.

Ok, they are mado of slass arnt they.

Could i just get a glass sheet, or have they got a special finish?

Thanks

They have a textured finish and are made of hardened safety glass

I have had a few different mats and I find hard mats to be uncomfortable.

My Steelpad 4S wore out within 6months :( I also used 5 or 6 sets of teflon on my MX-500 in those 6months. Worked out to be expensive (mat+all the teflon), uncomfortable (very hard) & when it went shiney it was a waste of time.

Steelpad 4S

I'm using a Qpad XXXL atm with my diamondback and it has lasted me ages :) very comfortable, loads of space & easy to clean.

Comparison - QPad + Steelpad 4S

Get...S & S QcK heavy+

Its big

Its beast

Its comfortable

It has a review on this site

Be the guy to show off a mousemat at a lan lawl!

I am going to go for a S & S one, for portability, but i amnot paying £25 for the 5L,

So it is between the QCK and the S & S solo.

Thanks

I use a simple Ratpadz GS pad and it works great... Depending on how much gaming you do they wear out rather quickly. I've had mine for almost a year and it's starting to go completely smooth, hehe. They work great though, I never have any stuttering problems and works with all types of mice.

Yeah mine was good while it lasted (about 4 months). I now use a 5L that's shown absolutely no signs of wear since I started using it in July 06
