okay guys, i think my mobo is done for, i freeze in games and such and i got a new GFX back and still freezes, so i think my mobo is shot, im think bout getting a new little upgrade

AMD 64 3200+ (Not Sure What Brand Yet)

Seems I have figured out the problem. Orange was running his system on a single-fanned no-name 420w with.

you have two choices

1) MSI Neo2 Platinum K8N

2) DFI Nf3 Socket 939 board ( which is coming out within a month )

Stay away from the Via Chipset boards , they arent that great. Remember to get a nice strong PSU for your system. Get a Venice 3200+. I do not see a ram listed in your specs , so im gonna guess that you want to buy that as well.

Get two sticks on this ram

and buy an ocz ddr booster ( if you can get it second hand working condition that its even better as you save some money, and only get it if you buy a Neo2 because the DFI gives you 4V Vdimm already )

And start reading up on ocing the MSI Neo2 with DDR Booster . A great read on that motherboard would be http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=43033

With that memory you can expect about 250 mhz with enough volts and active cooling at 2-2-2-5 timings. Thats a darn good speed if I may say so.

Then you will have two choices . Either run the CPU:MEM ratio 1:1 and get a final speed of about 10x255 = 2.55 ghz with low latency . Or you can run a divider and try running your cpu at 9x300 fsb with memory at 240 ( its called a 166 mhz divider ) . Using a divider doesnt hurt A64 much becoz of the on-die memory controller.

And your gaming experience will be ultimate with low latency ram . Its been proven many times over that for gaming and benching , low latency wins over higher ram speed.

my rams good, works fine for me, corsair value ram 1gb dual channel (512x2), so no need for ram, and ill prolly save my ass for thise 3200+ Venice, Socket 939 Motherboard which supports an AGP x8 because thats what my 6600GT is, so i dont wnana get a new GFX card, and a new PSU...

Bournes two suggestions are good ones... EPoX 9NDA3+ is a fuckin kickass nF3 board, it's the board that took my lil 3000+ Winnie to 2.8ghz.

If I was you I would start with a new PSU and see if that solves your problem.

Despite Austins comment, the enermax is a pretty good PSU. I would personally go for an OCZ or a PCP&C. OCZ is more affordable....the 520(?)w one would be worth a shot to try. I mean if that doesn't work then you will still have a solid class PSU
