What Motherboard??!?! ddr2 or ddr3?

Ok I've nearly finished picking my other bits but im stumped on the motherboard so i need some of you advice.

AMD Phenom 2 x4 940 @3ghz for £150 (from amazon)

OCZ 600 Watt PSU for £57 (from amazon)

RC590KKNIGP coolermaster case for £55 (from scan)

I just need some ideas about a decent and not bank breaking motherboard for the cpu, (pointing towards a 790gx)

DDr2 or DDr3.

Go for DDR2, it works really well on AMD and there is some new ultra low voltage blade kits from OCZ that are amazingly good overclockers.

Are there any benefits of getting ddr3??

I mean surely DDR3 will be used in the future more??

I'm getting the quad phenom over an E8500 because it will be more future proof than a duo, plus i prefer AMD to intels.

The prices of the DDR3 and the DDR2 i spotted were very similiar but the ddr3 had higher speeds, EG ddr2 800mhz - ddr3 1333mhz.

If i can get them both for the same prices (ish) then wouldn't it make sense to go with ddr3?

Sorry i just need to know the difference between the two so i can make an educated decision.

In theory and in bench testing, DDR3 is the more attractive option.

I've found practically, and cost wize (even tho DDR3 is getting cheaper all the time) that DDR2 is silly-cheap in comparison.

Bit miffed about them moving the goal posts for dual ddr3 and tri ddr3 also.

can you recommend some good ddr2 please, low voltage would be nice too.

4gig would suffice i think.

Im also in the UK so i would need them to be either from amazon or scan.
