what is this MACHH II or MACH II GT have pic.

when buying this unit i was told its a mach II GT and when i start it up and install the software it says MACH II ? ST? here are the pics what is it?

Mach2 if it was a GT it would say it on the sticker to mod it to a gt you just need a regas to mod it to a chilly1 you need to remove the original head fit a chilly1 block and regas it

Well you could just regass it, getting the Chilly1 is optional but if your gonna go for regass may aswell get the head aswell.

If it was a GT would it not also say R404a instead of R134a as the gas used?

The Mach II still rocks, don't know why everyone says they don't tbh, the GT just uses a dif gas, everythin else is the same pretty much.

Just out of interest what chip are you going to cool on it?If it's a high end end chip ie fx OR x2 it will be worth your while to upgrade.

For some spurious reason ECT dont change the labels for the gas used (oversight probs breaking some EU law but hey).

It is deffo a Mach 2 - does it suck? not really, but then not as good as a GT or a vapo LS (perofrmance is in line with Vapo XE rev1) - but a straight regas to R507 is a great balance between performance boost and price. send email to Phil stanbridge at www.extremeprometeia.com to get prices etc...

Mav I have to disagree there, your thinking of the Mach 1 for direct comparison to the XE rev1. The Mach 2 standard beat an LS if memory serves correctly. I've had 2 Mach I's, Mach II, and a Mach II GT. The Mach II could handle everything the GT could, the GT just did it all on normal fan setting whereas the Mach II needed them on turbo.

The Mach I was good for bartons but not for anything more, just wasn't powerfull enuf.

I will be cooling an A64 X2 4400+ for now and will upgrade to an A64 FX-60 later in the month.

In your case your better off finding someone the the USA, Chilly1 would do the mods but he'll have a long leadtime i assume due to other commitments of his
