what is AMD quad core 3.6GHz A8-series like

Heyy guy ,
What is the AMD quad core 3.6GHz A8-series like , as in performance because iv heard some of them have had problems etc and your general views on this processor.

Depends on which one? To specify what the "A8" series is like is impossible.. Every APU is different. A8-5800? A8-3870K? A8-5600K? Etc.. On a whole, they're reasonably decent if you're on a tight budget. Especially if you're in need of a cheap Quad Core. But if you are on a budget, I'd recommend an Intel Core i3 anyway. Some of the A8 Series APU's may of had some problems, but that depends on the particular Processor.

If you just want to use it as an APU with no graphics card they are good, as soon as you start talking dedicated graphics then Id personally rethink it.

Hmm. Sure I've read loads of reviews of the APU vs I3 and the Intel onboard kicks its ass in 2D apps and games.

You may well have, but not everything you read is correct. And I'm pretty sure Tom know's what he's talking about.
