oK guys, My pc is at the shop being put together as we speak.

Question is, when I get it, what do I do? I have a windows vista disk. Is it a simple case of connecting a monitor, booting from the disk, and installng XP?

What is all this stuff such as BIOS, CMOS etc/how do I optimize my PCs performance?

Thanks

Well it wud be something special if u cud install XP off a vista disk tbh!

But yeah the basic way to go, get into windows 1st!

After vista, install your motherboard drivers.

Then some decent anti virus - Avast/AVG is free and OK. I've used both and still use Avast...

After that, install some games, have a blast.

You could get downloading from torrents (google it)

Porn just seems too obvious to state, but I did it anyway.

Maybe play with photoshop, sketchup...

FOLD FOR TEAM OC3D!!!!

Overclock it

Can I overclock with just the supplied core heatsink?

Also with the supplied heatsink can I jut leave my PC on for weeks on end without risking destroying my core (on normal settings etc)

Thx

You can leave it on for weeks on end with the stock heatsink with no to very minimal overclock... If you want to do any sort of decent overclocking you will need to buy an aftermarket heatsink.
