I'm saving up for a corsair h100 water cooling system and i'm just wondering what i should do with the stock fan that comes with all intel CPUs. should i route it through the back of my case and put it on my desk or try and sell it to someone? i'm sure that there are a number of creative people on these forums that can help me with ideas :)

lol how much are these things worth? or would they not sell since they come standard? surely it could work as a case fan? or not...

Aye, I kept mine. Left it in the box the CPU came in and chucked it in the loft. Always good to have a backup plan, if your H100 goes south.

Yeh - keep it, if you have to RMA you may need it.

To answer the question - a mate of mine had mine to give to his brother, because he believed if you took the fan off, the heatsink looked like the 'Iron Man Ark Reactor' thing...

Tbf - How many times have you lot had an Intel chip turn faulty by its own means.
If it's dead on arrival, you surely wouldnt have thrown the box and cooler away that early - and I've never known a cpu to just suddenly go wrong - unless the user was to blame

Stuck my 2600k stock cooler on my sons i3 2120 (chip only buy off ebay)build cheap o total result , no cooler to buy :)
