Should I buy two GTX 570s right now or a single GTX 580 and maybe another after a year or so?

Or should I just buy a single GTX 570 and spend the money saved on a better pc case or a better ssd?

I may then buy another GTX 570 after a year or so and even a third one maybe.

I have a Gigabyte P67A-UD7 board with an i7-2600K processor. The board supports tri SLI.I want to play crisis warhead and maybe even crysis 2 on maxed out settings.

Single 570 and invest money on an SSD.

Aim for just below the top imo, its the best way to save money AND keep up with new tech (i.e. upgrading).

Tbh mate as Crysis 2 is now before the dx 11 patch, a single 570 runs the game really well, around 75 fps average with everything maxed as it can be atm on 1920 x 1080. So I'd say stick with a single card for now and maybe throw in a 2nd down the line when a game like BF3 comes out

A single GTX 570 giving 75 fps at maxed out settings on a 1920 x 1080 resolution in Crysis 2?

Seriously I don't believe you.

Hi,

1 GTX 580 and a good small SSD (£100ish, 40-60GB) for the operating system. I found no/little improvement using a good SSD for games and for Windows 7 it is excellent, then get a second GTX 580 when it's convenient
